Posters for Stellenbosch University’s LGBTIA student society, Lesbigay - A series of posters I made while on the committee during my masters program at the university. The society needed a new identity, one that would attract new members, more particularly first years who were either looking for a safe place to be openly gay or spend time with openly gay people. Given the somewhat conservative nature of the campus and the tendency of previous posters being removed from walls, advertising needed to be visible yet understated, while still appealing to a ‘queer’ demographic. Posters were published both on campus and online and formed part of online viral campaigns to market events, parties and the society.
