I believe being able to draw the human figure from observation is an essential component of any art practice but more importantly, drawing the human figure and its anatomy from imagination is a skill that is just as important. More often than not, drawing the human figure from imagination informs one’s observational studies and is a crucial component of any comic book, storyboard and narrative artist.
